Greens leader Christine Milne wants a federal independent commission against corruption body to police how politicians claim entitlements.
The Greens proposed the new body as part of its deal with Labor to form government after the 2010 election.
“The government hasn’t moved on it to date and I think the experience of the last couple of months shows the wisdom of actually moving to some system like that because what it allows politicians to do is to to check before they put in entitlement claims to make sure that what they are seeking is within the rules,” Senator Milne said.
