Zandile Radebe, A former Pietermaritzburg prosecutor, was convicted of corruption for accepting a bribe to make a multimillion-rand drug case “disappear”. She has been jailed for five years –  10-year sentence, with five years suspended.

Radebe was convicted of one charge of corruption last month. The State had alleged that she had been offered a bribe of $20,000 in 2006 and the possibility of a magistrate’s post if the drug case docket disappeared.
