John Noguez
26 April 2012. Los Angeles County Assessor John Noguez is under investigation in a corruption probe. Investigators searched the home and offices of Noguez on Wednesday. The assessor is at the center of a probe involving allegedly slashing property values of some homes. It was alleged that John Noguez makes money by assessing properties for his own benefit.
Noguez is suspected of under-assessing millions of dollars in property in return for thousands of dollars in campaign contributions and other money from property owners. Alleged bribery and fraud is said to involve tens of thousands of dollars.
