NCR the manufacturer of automated teller machines and payment systems saw its shares declining over the past two years, after it reported an allegation it received from a whistle blower that it might have violated Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). If proven guilty and a penalty imposed, NCR’s ability to do business in the countries involved will become extremely slim. So far the allegations are concerning China, Middle East and Africa. Earlier NCR ceased business in Syria due to allegations relating to FCPA violation.
