Krasimir Velchev,
6 July 2012.The ruling, center-right Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria party GERB revealed its plans for a new anti-corruption and anti-lobbyism legislation. The Chairman of the GERB Parliamentary group, Krasimir Velchev, commented to the media that he had plenty of ideas and wished for such laws in Bulgaria because cases of corruption still abound in the country. Velchev said that current laws are inadequate to contain widespread corruption. However he added that there was no corruption in the current government. The promise to have such law came as response of criticism on the part of the opposition that in the 3 years of their term GERB have failed to fulfill any of their election campaign promises.
