20 April 2012. Duncan Larcombe, 36, Sun’s Royal Editor, was held in a dawn swoop on his home in Kent on suspicion of bribing public officials for tip-offs of breaking news. The arrest was made by Operation Elveden detectives from Scotland Yard.
Media magnate Rupert Murdoch will appear before the independent British inquiry on Wednesday and perhaps Thursday morning, according to the inquiry’s website.
His son, James Murdoch, a top executive in his father’s company, has also been summoned and is scheduled to testify Tuesday.
