The Tennis Integrity Unit announced that Swedish teenager Lucas Renard was banned for six months and fined $5,000 after admitting corruption.

The case against 19-year old Mr Renard was based on the findings of a Tennis Integrity Unit investigation, which was then considered by an independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer.

Mr Renard spends his career on the third-tier Futures circuit, had four months of his sanction suspended on the basis that he commits no future violation of the Program, that he exhibits continuous good conduct and that he attends anti-corruption education training.

The Tennis Integrity Unit is an initiative of the Grand Slam Committee, the International Tennis Federation, the ATP World Tour and the WTA as part of the Uniform Tennis Anti-Corruption Program.
