Former Senator Jane Orie
12 September 2012. Former state Senator Jane Orie has filed notice that she’s appealing her 2½- to 10-year state prison sentence for campaign corruption and forgery charges. The two page notice does not say why she is appealing. She resigned her Pittsburgh-area Senate seat in May and has also lost her law license. The 50-year-old Republican is serving her sentence at the State Correctional Institution-Cambridge Springs, about 90 miles north of Pittsburgh.
