Singapore. ST Elctronics says none of its executives has been called up by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) in connection with the investigations of former chiefs of the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB). Online forums are abuzz with the news that these two men have been in close working relationship with a woman executive at an IT company that supplied products and services to many government agencies.
In 2009, ST Electronics clinched a S$34 million contract from SCDF to build a command and control system.
