Andi Mallarangeng

The anti-graft Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has urged Youth and Sports Minister Andi Mallarangeng to provide honest testimony before the Jakarta Corruption Court over the high-profile US$21.3 million corruption scandal in a project commissioned by the ministry.
Andi is scheduled on Wednesday (22 February 2012)  to take the witness stand to testify against defendant Muhammad Nazaruddin, an ousted Democratic Party treasurer.
Nazaruddin is accused of masterminding the bribery scheme centring on the athletes’ village construction project for last year’s SEA Games by securing the bid for construction company PT Duta Graha Indah (DGI).
KPK prosecutors will also present House of Representatives secretary general Nining Indrasaleh, as a witness at Wednesday’s session of Nazaruddin’s trial.
