15 Maay 2012. The Agency Against Corruption launched an investigation into a corruption scandal surrounding Taiwan Power Corporation’s fourth nuclear plant, reports said Tuesday. The latest scandal started in 2007 with a US$15.2 million contract for
parts that were reportedly not radiation-resistant. The products from the two suppliers did not meet the required quality standards, reports said.
Taipower has come under fire for expensive and inefficient practices following President Ma Ying-jeou’s plans to raise electricity rates.
