Scotland Yard
7 August 2012. A 29 year old police officer and a 37 year old journalist were arrested by the Scotland Yard detectives investigating Operation Elveden. The arrests were made as a result of information provided to the police by News Corporation’s management standards committee. The arrests are related to suspected payments made by journalists to police and public officials. The men are held in separate police stations for questioning. The arrests are a part of Scotland Yard investigations into phone hacking, payments to public officials, computer hacking and other invasions of privacy.
