George Costin
State secretary for revolutionaries’ problems, George Costin, was detained by anti-corruption prosecutors today (25February 2012).
George Costin was detained for 24 hours under suspicion of corruption and bribery.
Prime Minister Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu suspended him from his
position, following the launch of this investigation.
According to reports, Costin organised a network of issuing, for money, revolutionary certificates, which give rights and benefits to their holders, such as tax exemptions.
