New Delhi,, The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Friday (24 February 2012) registered a case of corruption against Udayveer Singh Rathi ,a Delhi Police assistant commissioner, for amassing disproportionate assets.
A senior CBI official said that they searched five locations in Delhi, including his residence and the office, on Thursday. Premises of Rathi’s associates were also raided.

The official said that he was the owner of five properties either in his name or in the name of his family members. He also has several unregistered properties in Delhi.

Rathi posses a fleet of cars including a Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Accent, Santro and Tata Safari and also a farmhouse in Mehrauli.
According to the official, Rathi is the owner of property approximately worth over $ 400,000. A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against Rathi.
