Billionaire Victor Dahdelah
Bruce Allan Hall, an Australian national, appeared in Westminster Magistrates Court on corruption and money laundering charges relating to contracts for the supply of aluminium to Bahrain. Britain’s Serious Fraud Office (SFO) said that it will merge Hall’s case with that of Victor Dahdelah, a British and Canadian national alleged to have paid bribes to Alba officials in connection with contracts between Pittsburgh-based Alcoa and Alba for supplies of alumina shipped from Australia.
Hall once served as CEO of state-owned Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (“Alba”). He was extradited from Australia and is now on conditional bail. He is alleged to have received bribes during his tenure as chief executive at Alba. The bribes were for the supply goods and services to Alba.
Hall and Dahdelah are due to appear as co-defendants on March 2 at Southwark Crown Court in London, the SFO added.
